Questions –

  1. When did realize that you wanted to be an author?

I realized I wanted to be an author when I knew it was my passion. Being a writer is the thing that keeps me up at night. Coming from where I come from there are not many ways out. Through everything I’ve experienced, writing got me through accompanied by the idea that I could be something more. I’m not scared to say that I want the finer things in life. Money is hard to obtain in writing, but I know I can do it. I deserve better. My mother deserves better. Writing is simply my tool and I’m going to use it to the fullest extent.

  1. How long does it take for you to write one of your books?

At a thousand words a day and a usual length for me being seventy-five thousand words or better it takes three to four months a month of editing including.

  1. How do you balance your work schedule when you’re busy writing?

At this point I work security for a less than desirable wage. At one point I had it made being able to take my computer to work and write there. I write a thousand words a day if I haven’t mentioned it. I wake up at six thirty in the morning everyday and right five hundred words then and five hundred more as soon as I get home.

  1. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I write best in the hours just before sun rise.

  1. How do you come up with ideas for your books?

Oddly enough, some of my favorite moments in my books write themselves. Other than that, I draw inspiration from my own life, and little ideas that pop into my head. My book which is a series is basically my take on modern superheroes breaking clichés as well as upholding a few.

  1. When did you write your first book?

I wrote my first book when I was about ten. It was a Dragon Ball Z arc I stormed up. I felt pretty awesome.

  1. What are your hobbies when you’re not writing?

My hobbies include, eating, binge watching stranger things and cartoons that should obviously be brought back. (Original Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, Ed, Edd, n Eddy.) Watching boxing, listening to music, and dreaming million-dollar dreams.

  1. What does your family and close friends think of your writing?

The family and friends that I’ve graced to read my writing have liked it. I try not to go off of family and friend’s opinion though.

  1. What was one of the most interesting things that you learned about yourself when you published your first book?

I learned that I can be quite resourceful when I need to. I’m a trust fund child by no means so coming up with the money for book editing and getting the cover made as well as promotion brought the dog out of me.

  1. How many books have you written? Which one is your favorite?

I’ve written and published one book to date. Yup. I’m a newbie. I’m ready to conquer the world though.

  1. What do you think makes a good story?

To me, what makes a good story is a pinch of personal trauma, some cliché inspiration and a little bit of cool stuff that you saw in a movie one time and desperately need to pass off as your own.

  1. Where do you like to kick back and write your books?

I don’t have a particular spot that I like to write in. The entirety of my book was written in my upstairs room of my grandparent’s house and so has the majority of the second which is coming soon. It’s hard to get comfortable sometimes though. I go from by bed to the floor to my desk and back to the bed. I’m wishy washy.
