How do you win a game when you don’t know who all the players are? Who can you trust when all you have ever known are lies?
Cara has returned to Myridia, but the home that she grew up in is now a prison built on the very lies that she tried to escape. The Mystic City is destroyed, burned down by the very man that she thought she could trust. The remaining mystics have scattered and among the ruins lies the remnants of whatever future Cara thought she had.
There is no going back.
The tattered and broken game pieces have been set, but the only question that remains is who will come out on top. When new enemies and allies arise, Cara will once again find herself in a grander scheme than she ever imagined. Betrayed, with her trust broken, and lies building up around her, will she be able to settle the turmoil within her heart, let alone the turmoil befalling her people?
